Description

Savencia F&D CZ, a subsidiary of a French food company specializing in the production of cheeses, will close its processed cheese plant in the city of Hodonín at the end of February 2026. The closure of the plant will affect a total of 100 employees. The production of processed cheeses will be relocated to a facility in Kempten, Germany, due to declining demand and economic sustainability issues.

The company is ready to help laid-off employees find new jobs. The Hodonín region had a six percent unemployment rate in May 2025, which was the highest among the districts of the South Moravian Region.

Globally, the international food group Savencia, headquartered in France, has approximately 23,000 employees in 31 countries.
