Description

Owkin, the French artificial intelligence biotech company, is planning to cut around 50 jobs through a collective voluntary redundancy scheme.

The planned measure is part of a strategic repositioning, as CEO and co-founder Thomas Clozel indicated that the company intends to focus on its core “pure AI” activities. In this context, Owkin is prioritising the development of its AI tools for medical research, including its recently launched assistant, and is expected to divest part of its diagnostics unit as part of broader cost-reduction and simplification efforts.
