European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Portuguese health care provider Lusíadas Saúde will open a new hospital in the city of Maia, in Northern Portugal. With an initial investment of €10 million, this healthcare unit will create 200 new jobs.
This new investment aims to continue the groups national strategy of national expansion and increasing proximity to its clients. The new hospital will help reducing disparities in access to healthcare around Portugal.
Founded in 1998, Lusíadas Saúde currently has 15 healthcare units across mainland Portugal in which it employs a total of approximately 6,000 healthcare professionals.
