Description

Philip Morris, a subsidiary of the international tobacco company Philip Morris International and the largest producer and seller of tobacco products in the Czech Republic, has announced the creation of up to 150 additional jobs. The company decided to double its investment in the Kutná Hora plant in turn doubling the originally planned production capacity of nicotine pouches.

Nicotine pouches are expected to begin commercial production in Kutná Hora early next year. Their production will run in parallel with the current production of tobacco products.

The plant in the city of Kutná Hora, currently employing 1,100 people, is becoming a key pillar of Philip Morris' European production of smokeless products.

This follows a previous investment and creation of 100 jobs by the firm back in February 2025 which is registered by the ERM events database Philip Morris ČR 2025 - CZ.
