Description

As announced on 12 September 2025, the German brake disc manufacturer Breyden is closing its site in Lollar (Hesse) by the end of 2025. This will affect 230 employees. The company stated that the reason was the inability to ensure the site's long-term competitiveness. Talks with the works council have already begun.

In October 2024, Buderus Guss in Breidenbach and Robert Bosch in Lollar were renamed to Breyden. Breyden is now part of the Aequita Group and employs around 700 people.

Updated, 05/12/25: The company and the employee representatives have agreed on a reconciliation of interests that includes a social plan and the setup of a transfer company. Because production will end on 12 December 2025 and the notice periods cannot be met, severance payments have been arranged.
