Description

As announced on 1 September 2025, the German construction machinery manufacturer Putzmeister plans to cut 140 jobs at its headquarters in Aichtal (Baden-Württemberg).

The company cites the changing market environment as the reason for the job cuts. It aims to restructure in order to position itself for the future and improve competitiveness.

The works council and IG Metall are in dialogue with management regarding the company’s future. The company aims to carry out the changes in a socially responsible manner.

Putzmeister employs around 3,300 people worldwide and has been part of the Chinese company Sany since 2012. The latest reduction in jobs at Putzmeister was recorded by the ERM events data base in 2024 Putzmeister 2024 - DE, and was a result of offshoring of activities to Slovenia and Turkey.
