Description
At the end of September 2025, ITK Engineering announced to cut 274 jobs within the next two years. The company is a subsidiary of Bosch that recently announced around 13,000 additional job cuts worldwide, with over 8,600 jobs to be lost in Germany by the end of 2030 (Bosch 2025 - DE). Similarly to its parent company, ITK engineering suffers from low demand for its products from the automotive industry.
ITK Engineering specialises in IT engineering or AI solutions needed in different industries (such as automotive but also in local transport, railways or in the medical industry). Whilst ITK Engineering has locations in Föchingen and Holzheim (Bavaria), the company has not yet decided how many jobs will be shed at single locations.
The management will enter negotiations with the works' council on headcount reductions measures (e.g. social plan, severance pay). The company currently employs 1,000 workers at its locations.
