Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ryanair, low-cost airline based in Dublin, has invested 130 million euros to open the first training centre for Boeing 737-8200 crews in Kraków, which created 150 jobs. The new positions include flight instructors, pilots in training, cabin crew, maintenance engineers, simulator technicians, and administrative support staff.
The centre is intended to strengthen the potential of the airport in Balice, create jobs and enable technology transfer to Kraków. The centre was opened on 30 September 2025 and will be able to train up to 500 pilots, cabin crew and engineers.
Ryanair, established in 1984 and based in Dublin, Ireland, is an airline in Europe, operating over 2400 daily flights across more than 230 destinations in 40 countries and employs thousands across Europe.
