Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Glaros Group, an industrial subsidiary of the Sklavenitis family business, has announced the establishment of a new company, Avra MAE, alongside plans to construct the largest ready-meal production facility in Europe. The project represents an investment of €100 million and is scheduled for completion in June 2026. It is expected to create 300 new jobs across a range of specialities by 2026.
The Group already comprises three business entities: Glaros ABEE (paper industry), Meat House MAE, and Baker Master ABEE. The new plant, to be built in Magoula, Attica, is designed for a capacity of 250,000 meal portions per day, serving both the Greek market and exports.
