Description

SMA Solar Technology, a company operating in the solar energy industry, has announced plans to cut 350 jobs worldwide.

About 300 positions are expected to be cut in Germany SMA Solar Technology 2025-DE. The cuts are part of an expanded restructuring and transformation programme. The measures aim to improve profitability in the Home & Business Solutions division and strengthen the company’s overall competitiveness. The job reductions will begin in January 2026 and are expected to be completed by the end of 2026, leading to additional annual cost savings of over €100 million by 2027. The company is to initiate negotiations with employee representatives.

SMA Solar Technology has its production sites in Germany, Poland and the United States. The company employs about 4,200 people worldwide.
