European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Cabelte, a Portuguese company and a European reference in the production of electric cables, will invest €150 million in the construction of a new factory in Ribeirão, Vila Nova de Famalicão. The project includes the installation of seven new production lines and the creation of 200 new jobs. The construction will start in 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2027.
The new industrial facility, featuring a modular building of around 30,000 square metres, will enable the company to increase its annual production of medium- and high-voltage cables by 30,000 tonnes, thereby strengthening its operational efficiency and brand competitiveness.
