Description

Danish toy maker Lego inaugurated new facilities at its Nyíregyháza plant. The investment added new packaging, storage and administrative facilities, which enables the plant to increase its output by 30%. Three 300 new jobs have been created mainly in packaging and storage operations, and the workforce may grow further by several hundred in 2026.

The expansion responds to the rapidly growing demand for the company’s products in international markets. The total investment amounts to approximately €138 million, of which the Hungarian government contributed €11 million as a non-refundable grant.

Lego is the largest employer in the region, with over 4,000 employees at its Nyíregyháza plant.
