Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Leroy Merlin is currently seeking to fill 583 vacancies across its stores in Spain, offering primarily full-time and permanent contracts. The most in-demand positions include warehouse staff, customer service agents, cashiers, and administrative roles. Of the total job offers, 186 are permanent contracts, many of which feature either fixed or rotating shifts.
The highest concentration of job opportunities is in Madrid (123), followed by Barcelona (116) and Seville (85). The roles generally do not require higher education, though relevant experience or knowledge is valued. The starting salary is set by the collective agreement for large retail stores, beginning at €1,367 per month for entry-level positions (based on a 40-hour week), and can increase to €1,673 per month (€20,840 annually) for technical roles, excluding bonuses.
