Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Signify, a global leader in lighting, is expanding its operations in Poland by introducing 3D printing technology at its factory in Piła, creating 150 new jobs.including positions for production and technical specialists. The company offers employment in full-time, permanent roles, with no specific prior qualifications required beyond standard education for production roles, while technical positions may require relevant expertise.
The restructuring responds to rising demand for personalised and sustainable lighting solutions. Implementation will start in December 2025, with full production capacity expected by mid-2026.
Signify, formerly Philips Lighting, has operated in Poland for decades and continues to invest strategically in advanced and eco-friendly manufacturing.
