Description
The Bieszczady Border Guard Unit, part of Poland’s Border Guard (Straż Graniczna) plans to recruit 275 new officers in south-eastern Poland under its 2026 recruitment programme. The recruitment responds to growing border protection needs and the requirement for rapid reaction to security threats, and includes 120 officers hired under a new contract-based service model, with contracts lasting 3–5 years.
The initiative focuses entirely on staff expansion, offering salaries starting from PLN 5,500 net plus allowances.
The Bieszczady unit is one of several regional formations within the Polish Border Guard, responsible for protecting the external EU border with Ukraine and Slovakia, and plays a key role in national and EU security policy.
