Description

Fressnapf, a German pet retailer, opened a new logistics centre in Nörvenich at the end of April 2026. The expansion creates up to 500 new jobs.

The new roles cover a broad range of functions, including leadership positions, technical and maintenance roles, operational warehouse jobs, and specialised positions focused on order handling and warehouse technology.

The facility, which covers 140,000 square metres and will be able to handle 40,000 parcels per day, is built with an automated AutoStore system and other digital sorting technology, underscoring a digital transition in logistics operations. The project is part of Fressnapf’s broader strategy to strengthen its e-commerce network in western Europe.

Fressnapf employs around 20,000 people in Europe, most of whom are based in Germany.
