Description

Porsche, a German sports car manufacturer, plans to cut up to 4,000 additional jobs as part of a comprehensive transformation package aimed at streamlining the company.

The cuts will mainly affect management and administrative positions, with a significant share of the reductions expected at the Weissach development centre. The restructuring is being driven by weak sales in China and substantial investment requirements.

Porsche and employee representatives are currently negotiating a detailed package of measures related to the job cuts. The agreement is expected to be finalised by the end of July 2026.

Previous internal restructuring measures were recorded in the ERM database in June 2026, involving 200 job losses in Leipzig Porsche 2026 - DE.

Porsche employs over 41,000 people worldwide.
