Description

Tenneco, a chocolate manufacturer, announced 120 job cuts at its factory in Sint Truiden, Belgium. The company employs about 900 people. The layoffs stem from shrinking margins and yearly falling production that have plagued the Belgian operation for some time.

ACV trade union officials confirmed the news and are preparing to negotiate with management to rescue as many jobs as possible. ACV union representatives and company management are set to meet from September onwards. All 120 positions are slated for termination.

In 2025, approximately 12 employees had already left Tenneco after accepting voluntary severance packages.
