Description
After having cancelled four times its social plan, Giat Industries announced a new plan affecting 3,400 jobs out of 6,250 in France by the end of 2006. In March 2004, the latest social plan implied 3,100 job losses and 580 million euros spent on social measures. There will be 1,300 retirement measures. Workers having to find another job will benefit from up to 1,5 years of paid leave to attend reconversion courses.
