Description

In September 2003, The Coca-Cola Company announced a restructuring plan affecting 1,900 jobs worldwide. In October 2003, The Coca-Cola Company announced 900 additional job losses. On a total workforce of 56,000 employees worldwide, Coca-Cola will dismiss 5%, i.e. 2,800 jobs. 1,275 jobs will be dismissed in the United States by the closure of several plants; 900 in Germany; and the rest, 635 jobs, in Asia.
