European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Heineken Slovakia decided to close its brewery in Nitra, where the best seller Heineken beer in Slovakia — the Corgoň - was produced. The production will be relocated to the other two Heineken breweries in Slovakia (in Hurbanovo and Rimavská Sobota). According to the Heineken president, the decision is a strategic step to strengthen the leading position of Heineken by producing only the most attractive brands.
