The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Nederlands Inkoop Centrum (NIC) will shed 60 jobs (on a total workforce of 300). A social agreement has been negotiated between the unions and the company's works council. 40 employees have already been dismissed, and 20 will probably be in 2004. The former Rijks Inkoop Bureau was privatised in 2002 to become the Nederlands Inkoop Centrum. It was already known at the time that the workforce would have to be reduced. NIC is the Dutch leader in the sector of buying orders consulting.
