European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Stonham Home Group, a housing association has announced a possible 280 redundancies. Amicus the trade union say they will oppose any attempts to make compulsory job cuts at Stonham Home Group. Stonham say they will look to offer voluntary redundancies and redeployment opportunities first, however, Amicus say the housing group will struggle to achieve this number of job cuts in a total workforce of over 2,000. Amicus say that the job cuts are a direct result of government cuts to the Supporting People initiative. Stonham is part of the Homegroup, whose head office is in Newcastle and Stonham's head office is in London.
