European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Berwin & Berwin is one of Europe's largest suit producers. The company has bought the Hungarian based producer Elit International in April 2001, and acquired four major production units in Hungary. Berwin Ruhaipari Rt. has four plants in Hungary employing a total of 1,650 employees. The company announced the closure of its factory in Dunaújváros because of financial problems. The decision will affect 240 workers.
