European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Markam factory is relocating its production into a new factory, which was built in the Southern industrial area of the same town. ‘The investment is amounting BGN 3.5 million’, said the president of the company Mr Kamen Obreshkov. As a result, the production capacity is expected to grow by 25%. 70 new workers will be hired and the company will have a total of 390 employees. Most probably Markam will keep its old building too and will use both - one for the garments with its own trademark, the other will be used to produce orders from its foreign partners. The Company Markam exists since 1990 and is profiled in lady's garment production. Markam has orders from partners in Germany, Netherlands, Greece, France, etc. It has increased its sales by 40% for the last year, announced the management.
