Belgian La Poste has announced the development of Georoute 2, a programme aimed a restructuring postmen daily routines. The methods will decrease delivery time and save costs. The implementation of Georoute 2 would mean that from 900 to 1,000 postmen and other Post employees would lose their jobs. Unions have rejected the project and strikes went on in December 2005 in the Wallonie region.
