European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Siret Plaza commercial centre is set to be built in Galaţi (Galaţi county, Sud-Est region). The project, to be carried out in partnership with Galati City Hall will create 1,500 jobs, and local authorities estimate it will contribute to an annual €20 million of the state budget.
Construction works are planned to begin in June 2006, to be finalised in the summer of 2007. According to the project developer, Siret Plaza Galaţi will include a hypermarket, shopping gallery, do-it-yourself department, as well as other medium-size shops selling furniture, household appliances, sports wear, etc. In addition there will be a cinema with 10 projection halls and a health centre.
Siret Plaza will have an underground facility of 2,000 parking spaces. The investment will total €45 million.
