European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dutch post offices operator Postkantoren BV plans to cut some 400 jobs by the end of 2007. The cuts will follow the decrease in the number of independent post offices by 74 to 215. The company will replace the disappeared post offices by branches in the shops, such as the bookstore chain Bruna, a subsidiary of Postkantoren. Postkantoren BV is a joint venture between TPG Post, the mail division of Dutch mail, express and logistics company TNT NV, and the Dutch Postbank, part of Dutch banking and insurance group ING Groep NV.
