European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Engineering firm Rolls-Royce has announced that 100 jobs are in doubt. There will be 70 jobs lost at its submarine division in Derby and thirty others could lose their jobs, but a spokesman said it was hoped most of them could be found other work. The company said the cuts were part of a restructuring programme and the majority of staff affected have taken voluntary redundancy. Tony Tinley, from the union, said: 'So far so good. Obviously it gets more difficult as you get down to the last few numbers.'
