The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mineral Inn, which is owned by Kaolin, is going to build a ferry terminal Silistra – Kalarash, announced the executive director of the company Mr Ljubomir Evstatiev. The future terminal will be part of Russe harbour. Evstatiev and the Minister of transport Petar Mutafchiev have signed a 35-years concession for the terminal. The firm is planning to invest BGN 4.5 million and to build the terminal by the end of 2006. This transport connection has an important role in the cross-border co-operation between Bulgaria and Romania, said the executive director. During the building process, some 300 working places will be created. some 200 persons will be hired when the terminal is ready. It is the first concession in Bulgaria, which will be realized on the principle 'Build, operate and transmit', said minister Mutafchiev. Kaolin, the owner of Mineral Inn, is the only Bulgarian producer of enriched kaolin, silica sand and refined mineral micro-products. All activities of Kaolin were certified under ISO 9001/2000 in 2001.
