European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (Ministerul Economiei şi Comerţului (MEC) announced new redundancies in defence industry companies, as absence or shortage of demand for their products continues. ‘Companies in the defence industry have been operating below the threshold of profitability and have now reached a financial crisis', declared government representatives.
One such company is Avioane Craiova in Craiova (Dolj county, Sud-Vest region), which is to cut 150 jobs.
