Description
Kiekert AG, a manufacturer of electrical components for major automobile companies announced the reduction of 250 jobs and the relocation of new production programs to Mexico and the Czech Republic. By 2009, jobs in Germany will be reduced from 1,600 down to 1,350. Cost cutting pressures by car manufacturers are given as a reason. The company belongs to the private equity fund Permira.
