European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
More than 150 jobs have been cut at a Black Country printers. Cradley Print Ltd called in the administrators after talks with union leaders from Amicus broke down. Administrators from accountants and business advisers PKF have cut 166 jobs out of a total workforce of 222 in an attempt to save the business. A PKF spokesman said 56 posts had been retained to try to minimise disruption to customers. More redundancies have not been ruled out.
"We are continuing to trade and the company and will be advertising the business for sale," said the spokesman. 'The printing marketplace has a lot of over-capacity and this has been the case for some time'.
'We are assessing what can be saved of the business and what is available to sell.'
