European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sappi, the South African paper manufacturer, has announced 123 redundancies at its Lanaken plant as part of its restructuring programme; of these, about 30 will be compulsory redundancies. The Lanaken plant needs to make savings of EUR 15.3 million. Management has stated that the plants future is secure.
