Description
On 10 November 2006, Commerzbank, a financial services provider, announced that it is planning to create 700 jobs. 500 of the jobs shall be created at the branches while the other 200 will be placed at its online-branch called Comdirect.
The job creation measures are part of its strategy to concentrate more strongly on the acquisition of new private costumers. The job creation scheme shall be completed by 2009. At the moment, Commerzbank employs 25,304 people in Germany.
On 30 May 2007, Commerzbank announced that in 2007 300 jobs will be created by introducing new opening hours at branches. By the end of the year 2007, 250 branches will open on Saturdays, the company says.
