Handjou New Silk Road, the Chinese company, together with Bulgarian Poliintex are going to invest EUR 8 million in a factory for plastic bottles near the town of Pleven. The project was announced after signing a contract during the Chinese - Bulgarian business meeting in Shanghai, which took place during the visit of the Bulgarian PM Sergei Stanishev in China. The new factory is to process 20,000 tonnes of raw materials per year and will create more than 100 new jobs. The production is planned to be exported to the EU countries, Russia and Turkey.
