European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Samsung is to expand capacity at its Jászfényszaru unit in Hungary with an investment of HUF 20 billion. The production facility is expected to open in mid-2007 with operation at full capacity from 2010. The investment is expected to create 1,000 jobs. The Jászfényszaru unit, which started producing TV sets for Samsung in 1990, currently employs 2,000 people. It produced 3.2 million TV sets last year and exported the products to 34 countries.
