European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The computer chipmaker Intel is in the process of cutting 10,500 jobs worldwide. The job losses are understood to be part of an ongoing restructuring strategy by the company. The announcement was made in September 2006.
