The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mobile phone operator Vodafone is planning to cut 100 jobs at its Dublin headquarters. The company is reported to be requesting voluntary redundancies. As it was announced on 29 January 2007, Vodafone has informed its employees that the cuts respond to an increasingly competitive Irish mobile phone market. Vodafone employs 1,800 people in Dublin, Dundalk and its retail outlets. Of this, 1,335 are direct employees based at the Dublin HQ.
