European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Rottneros, one of the leading suppliers of high quality paper pulp in the world, intends to build a new factory in Lithuania. The Swedish company is planning to close the factory in Sweden because of big electricity prices and to relocate the production of pulp to Lithuania. According to the company, 600 jobs will be created in the new factory, which will start work in 2011. The exact location of the factory has not been decided yet but it is likely that it will be located in Alytus.
