European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Ozeta Neo Company is the biggest producer of men’s ready-made clothes in Slovakia. Increasing competition in the textile industry and strengthening of SKK/Euro exchange rate threaten the company effectiveness. Due to failing price negotiations, Ozeta Neo has lost some of its important customers in January 2007. In order to avoid losses in the company economy, management decided to close production plants in Trenčín and Skalica. In total 870 workers will be dismissed from the company. However, up to 115 of them can get job in Ozeta plant in Topolčany. Company management promised to cover their commuting costs.
