The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Swedish furniture manufacturer Ikea announced on 23 May 2007 that it is to invest 100 million Euro in a new store in Thillois (Marne) in the north-west of Paris. 800 new jobs are expected to be created between October and December 2009 and the store will open in winter 2009. In the following years, Ikea Reims could employ as many as 1,000 people at this new site of 55,000 square meters. Ikea France has confirmed its plans to own 40 stores in the country by 2016.
