European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The National Labour Market Administration (Arbetsmarknadsverket - AMV) consists of the National Labour Market Board (Arbetsmarknadsstyrelsen - AMS), which is the central authority, as well as 20 County Labour Boards and approximately 325 local public employment services. AMV is restructuring the organisation and in 2008 AMV and AMS will merge into one authority in order to decrease costs. The planned job reductions are approximately 800 and it is expected that the cuts will be achieved by means of voluntary resignments or retirements.
