European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Nidec, a Japanese firm that manufactures electric motors for a range of sectors, is to create employment for 500 with the development of a new site in Skawina, Krakow. The plant will produce electric motors for sunroofs and seats in automobiles. The Skawina site will become Nidec’s second site in the Krakow region; the firm already employs 200 at a plant in Zielonka.
