European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Livio, an organization that operates in the domiciliary care sector, has announced that it is to cut 150 jobs. The majority of those workers affected are on part-time contracts. The background of the decision to cut jobs is the liberalization of the market for domiciliary care by the Dutch Government and also cuts in the health care budget by the Dutch Government. In the domiciliary care sector as a whole, it is expected that 5,000 jobs will be cut in 2007. Livio employs 2000 in the Netherlands, and as of September 2007 there is no further information on when the job losses will be implemented by.
