European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Stuttgart-based Dekra AG announced the creation of 1,600 new jobs in 2008 by expanding its truck testing operations in France and its industry-related business in Germany. While 600 new jobs are expected to be created in Germany in 2008, the number of jobs to be created in France is unknown. According to Handelsblatt, Dekra said the international workforce of currently 20,000 will increase of 1,600 new jobs by the end of 2008. Dekra AG provides a wide ranging portfolio of services including testing of vehicles and plants, environmental audits, consultancy, training and further training, building work monitoring and certifying services.
