European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The French retailer Carrefour announced the opening on 26 June 2008 of a new hypermarket in Pitesti with an investment of approximately EUR 20 million. The new investment will result in the creation of 400 jobs. In 2007 the company reported a turnover for Romania of EUR 866 million and the estimated turnover of the hypermarkets division for 2008 is over EUR 1 billion.
