Description
US eye care firm Alcon Laboratories has announced that it is to expand its Cork plant, investing over €20 million, and creating 186 new jobs. The expansion of the plant will result in a doubling of the existing workforce of 200 over the course of the next five years.
Alcon manufactures intraocular lens, a prosthetic lens that replaces the eye's natural lens after cataract surgery.
