Description
MAN Trucks plans to cut 180 jobs between December 2008 and late March 2009 at its vehicle assembly plant in Niepołomice nearby Krakow. The plant currently employs 650. This move is attributed to the falling demand for trucks. MAN Trucks is a member of the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge group, which incorporates three other Polish companies: MAN Star Trucks (a distributor of trucks and buses, based in Sady by Poznań), MAN Star Trucks & Busses (a city bus factory in Starachowice), and MAN Accounting Center (a finance and accounting office in Poznań).
