Description
Daf Trucks, a manufacturer of trailers cabins and axles, is to cut 750 jobs at its site of Westerlo.
The management of Daf Trucks announced at the end of October 2008, a restructuring process that will concern its site of Westerlo, province of Antwerp. The restructuring process will cause around 750 jobs losses including 600 employees with a fixed-term contract, 60 with a permanent contract and 90 temporary workers. Daf Trucks decreased its daily production that fell from 245 to 190 trailers because of the financial crisis Europe is experiencing.
